Computers and other sensitive electronic devices are being used more and more in applications in a variety of different industries in which the components can and will be exposed to harsh and damaging surroundings.
High temperatures, contaminant-laden air, and humid and corrosive atmospheres can totally destroy electronic equipment. The inherent vulnerability of these components is a major consideration in such applications.
Very few companies, regardless of the industry, can afford the costs and inconveniences directly related to issues with repairs, downtime, and lost data due to improper protection of their investment in technology – that’s where Steeline Enclosures comes in.
From custom enclosures to standard manufactured enclosures, Steeline has the type of protections that will keep your electrical equipment and investment intact, and safe.
So where does heat come from?
It’s really common for computers and electronic components to generate heat. Frustratingly enough, the components that will be the most damaged by heat, often times are creating the heat themselves, that’s why Steeline enclosures are so important.
From servers, routers, switches, transformers, PLC systems, power lines/supplies, and AC drives, to inverters and battery backup systems. Conversely, the environment in which an enclosure is placed largely effects the equipment by adding unwanted heat to the inside of the enclosure.
Where most enclosures conduct the most heat is when they are placed in engine rooms, manufacturing plants, hot climates, ovens, and food processing factories.
If you are looking for help in cooling the elements within your steel enclosure, contact Steeline Enclosures.
For applications that call for effective, energy-efficient cooling and heating, Steeline offers customers the option of climate control accessories made by Pfannenberg USA—a leading provider of thermal management solutions for electronic enclosures.
Pfannenberg’s thermal management products include UL Type 12 fans and louvers, 3R fan and louver shrouds, thermostats, hydrostats, heaters with thermostats, UL Type 12, 3R, 4, and 4X air conditioners and air to water heat exchangers.
In addition, Steeline designs and manufactures a custom 304 stainless steel enclosure, with a protection level of UL type 3R, to safely house indoor electrical equipment in outdoor environments.
