Different UL Approval marks are available to properly indicate what type of testing was performed on the product to ensure its reliability. While not required, UL Approved enclosure products help give our customers peace of mind as the marks can explain in detail the specific testing that was done on the product and ensure that the product we custom engineered for our clients is in perfect working order.

UL is common among industries such as ours as larger companies will not purchase materials that do not past UL’s safety tests, which is a good thing!

The “Recognized Component Mark” is a type of quality mark issued by Underwriters Laboratories.

UL Component Recognition means that UL has evaluated components or materials intended for use in a complete product or system. These components are intended only for end-use products that may be eligible for UL certification.

Because UL Recognized Components are intended for specific applications, Marks or symbols using the letters “U-L” can never be used in connection with the advertising or promotion of UL Recognized Components. The appropriate symbol for promoting a UL Component Recognition is the UL Recognized Component Mark. Products using the UL Recognized Component Mark are never permitted to use a promotional badge.
